BIG BROTHERS GP UPDATE
Here's a Big Brothers Grand Prix update for some of you, for others this may be the first information you have seen on this (remember to attend those off-season club meetings to stay informed!!)
The main thing the executive want you all to know is that each SSKC member is required to locate at least one (1) sponsor for the event. Sponsorships cost $100. Cheques should be made payable to South Sask Kart Club. For their sponsorship, each company receives:
- two free passes to the event.
- a business card sized ad in the event program (which is provided free of charge to spectators).
- space at the track for them to display a company banner or advertising.
Sponsorship money is necessary to cover advertising, portapotty, program and other costs. Big Brothers is again receiving the gate admission as their fundraising part of the arrangement.
Keith has created a very professional looking package that can be shown or provided to potential sponsors. The information is also available on the website. Click on the Big Brothers GP link on the left hand side.
As shown on the schedule, the race is Saturday June 5, so time is running out. In order to be included in the program, sponsor's business cards are required by Saturday May 29 (one week before the race).
For this year, we have included a car show segment (managed by the Majestic's Car Club) to try and attract a larger crowd.
Unfortunately, the baseball folks have asked for their bleachers back. The executive is working hard to find replacements, but in the meantime, please mark off Wed May 26 on your calendars to assist with removing the bleachers from the track.
